Namun sebuah kisah miris setelah menjalani proses persalinan dirasakan oleh seorang ibu muda asal Blora.
Dilansir Grid.ID dari Kompas.com, Sunti Suprapti wanita asal Kelurahan Cepu, Kecamatan Cepu, Kabupaten Blora, Jawa Tengah, mengalami hal tidak menyenangkan usai persalinan.
Pasalnya, jarum yang digunakan untuk menjahit robekan pada bagian alat vital usai proses persalinan yang dilakukannya patah.
Patahan jarum itu akhirnya tertinggal di dalam bagian intim Sunti.
Akibat insiden nahas itu, Sunti terpaksa harus menjalani operasi di Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU) Cepu.
Beruntung, tim medis berhasil mengidentifikasi adanya patahan jarum.
Tim medis mengeluarkan patahan jarum sepanjang 3 sentimeter dari alat vitalnya.
Kakak kandung Sunti, Nurul Sujidah (39), mengatakan adiknya itu menjalani proses persalinan di Puskesmas Cepu dengan didampingi keluarga.
Sunti melahirkan pada Jumat (16/3/2018) sore.
"Sabtu (17/3/2018) dini hari pukul 00.05 WIB bayinya lahir dengan selamat," kata Nurul pada Minggu (1/4/2018).
Menurut Nurul, setelah rampung menjalani persalinan, bidan Puskesmas Cepu berinisial G selanjutnya menjahit luka robekan pada area jalan lahir adiknya.
"Entah bagaimana, jarum yang digunakan bidan itu bisa patah," ujar Nurul.
"Saat itu patahan jarum dikiranya jatuh ke lantai. Bidan lalu meminta jarum lagi kepada petugas lain untuk melanjutkan proses menjahit," ungkap Nurul.
Selesai menjahit robekan jalan lahir, bidan tersebut kemudian berupaya mencari-cari patahan jarum di bagian lantai dan sekitarnya.
Karena patahan jarum tidak juga ditemukan, bidan lantas berupaya menanyakan perkembangan kondisi kesehatan Sunti.
"Adik saya tetap menjawab tidak merasakan sakit," katanya.
Mendengar respons Sunti yang tidak merasakan gejala kesakitan setelah dijahit, bidan tersebut semakin penasaran dengan hilangnya patahan jarum itu.
"Apa mungkin tertinggal di dalam ya," cerita Nurul menirukan perkataan bidan saat itu.
Sabtu (17/3/2018) siang sebelum pulang, bidan itu kembali menanyakan apakah Sunti merasakan sakit khususnya pada bagian yang dijahit.
Sunti pun masih menjawab tidak merasakan sakit.
"Sunti kemudian diperbolehkan pulang dengan diharuskan kontrol," lanjut Nurul.
"Bidan itu juga datang ke rumah menanyakan kembali kondisi kesehatan adik saya," ujarnya.
Senin (19/3/2018), Sunti melakukan kontrol ke Puskesmas Cepu.
Oleh pihak Puskesmas Cepu, Sunti kemudian diberi rujukan untuk melakukan rontgent di salah satu klinik laboratorium kesehatan di Cepu, Patra Medica.
"Ternyata hasilnya positif ada patahan jarum tertinggal di dalam jalan lahir adik saya," katanya.
Sunti lantas dirujuk kembali ke Puskesmas Cepu.
Namun tidak seorangpun dari pihak keluarga yang diperbolehkan untuk mendampingi.
Bahkan, handphone yang dibawa oleh Sunti juga dipegang oleh bidan tersebut.
Karenanya, pihak keluarga tidak bisa mengetahui perkembangan yang terjadi.
"Ternyata secara diam-diam adik saya mau dirujuk ke Rumah Sakit di Semarang," ujar Nurul.
"Meski biaya ditanggung oleh pihak Puskesmas, tapi adik saya tidak mau," lanjutnya.
"Sehingga pihak Puskesmas harus mendatangkan dokter bedah untuk melakukan operasi," ucap Nurul.
Dikutip dari Ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, benda asing yang tertinggal di dalam pasien setelah operasi secara umum disebut dengan Retained Surgical Bodies (RSB).
Prosedur lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengeluarkan benda asing tersebut.
Hal ini karena konsekuensi medis dari benda asing tersebut dapat termanifestasi dalam beberapa bentuk bahkan dalam jangka waktu yang lama setelah benda tersebut tertinggal.(*)
